We have teamed up with Nature Val - non profit organization whose aim is to help protect last surviving Dolphins in the Adriatic sea.Our one day and two day activities are a part of their 2015-17 monitoring project based on Photo ID work. The goal is to recognize individual dolphins in the area around Molat and study their movement patterns.
Our activities include screening of key study areas at times of day and year when dolphins are most active: 6 to 9am in May and September. We go out with kayaks, Photo ID dolphins and file the reports back to Nature Val. This data contributes to their bigger information base and is correlated to their other research sources to establish a strong understanding of the number of animals and their movement patterns in this part of the Adriatic.
As a part of this trip you will be able to contribute to understanding and preservation of last surviving dolphins in the Adriatic, meet Nature Val team at their research center located on island Molat, and get insight... about the dolphins in the Adriatic andget insight into their research results and research methodology.
Part of the revenues from Malik Adventures and this trip is reinvested in Nature Val projects to help better understand, identify and protect dolphins in the Adriatic.
