Alpine ski touring 4 DAY TRIP

ITINERARY

Our base is one of the villages near Kranjska Gora. Your arrival airport is Ljubljana.

DAY 1, ARRIVAL
We pick you up at the airpot or at the agreed location in Ljubljana. We stop by the rental shop to get the prearranged gear and then drive to the B&B. If there is time we do a short ascent on day 1 (2h ascent), like Debela Peč (2.15h)
Activity: Debela Peč, 2.15h ascent, 700m altitude difference
Highlights: Debela Peč peak ((2014m)

DAY 2
After breakfast, we get in the car/van and go to Rudno Pole and start the ascent to Veliki Draški Vrh - pyramid like mountain top. At the top we have a short break and then ski down. There is an option to climb nearby peaks Ablanka and Viševnik and ski down the couloirs. When we get back home, after shower we go for dinner in a local family run restaurant for some savoury delicacies.

Activity: 3- 4 h ascent, 1200m altitude difference

DAY 3
After breakfast we head to village Blatno, where start a more demanding ascent to Kanjevec - one of the highest ascents in the area with a very attractive route: valley, passes and nearby views.

Highlights: Kanjevec (2568m)
Activity: 5h ascent and 1450m altitude difference.

DAY 4
After breakfast we pack our bags, leave our rooms and head to the airport.

ITINERARY

We decide on the ski touring destination week before departure to take best advantage of weather conditions.

6-7.00h 
We pick you up at the airport or at the agreed location in Ljubljana or Zagreb
Drive to one of the Slovenian Alps: Julian, Karavanke or Kamnišk-Savinjske depending on the weather, level of fitness and skiing proficiency.

8-10.00h 
Start the ascent and climb the targeted peak

13.00h 
Finish and ski/snowboard down. Depending on the route and conditions there is a possibility to do another shorter ascent to nearby hill or couloir.

19.00h 
Return back to Ljubljana/Zagreb
